I really wanted to love this story, and although the premise of it is good, it didn't totally live up to my expectations. Don't get me wrong, I did like the story, I just didn't love it. However I see that there is a sequel due next year so perhaps it will add something more to the story which I haven't seen yet.
Becca comes from a well to do family, but she is determined to make her own way in the world. She returns to her home town, finds herself a good job, and finds herself enjoying life again after a disastrous relationship. She was betrayed not only by someone she loved, but by her best friend.
On starting her new job Becca finds herself drawn to Tyler, and she soon discovers that this isn't just one sided. But Tyler has reasons for not wanting people to know about the possible relationship.
The basis of the story is very similar to a lot of books around right now. But this one was slightly different as it reverses the roles a little.
The bit I did love about the book is near the end when Becca totally loses her cool and tells everyone exactly what she thinks of them! Boy she finds her balls big time! I almost cheered 'you go girl'!!
There were quite a few spelling errors and grammar issues throughout the story, more noticeably in the first half. But it didn't detract from the story at all.
I do like the sound of the second book, as the author gives a little taster at the end of this one, and I'm hopeful it will expand the story well.
