Friedman on the Secretum Philosophorum, Nicholas Watson on the McMaster text, and Elizabeth Wade on Lullian divination. Good Overview of Real Magic Stuff 14 Jun 2001
By Tan Kwan Seng - Published on Amazon.com
With countless imaginative, nonsensical magical texts out there and new-age crap, where should one start to search for real serious stuff? This book is it. The research done is admirable and the stuff mentioned were really in use. Gives one a true view of what grimoires are and how they were used.

This is a very good book to start for anyone looking for real stuff.

Start with This --- You Won't Be Led Astray 9 Dec 2001
By Brian Cheong - Published on Amazon.com
With many books on summoning spirits available today, which you can trust to be "real stuff"? This one! This book is a scholarly look of the topic and careful examination of the stuff that are now in well-known museums such as the British Museum.

After reading this, I am more confident of telling which books out there are inaccurate or instances where stuff are just added to make those rubbish books sell better.

If you are interested in getting a glimpse of how summoning spirits was done in medieval times, this book is a must-read.

Conjuring Spirits: texts and medieval ritual magic 14 May 2001
By raven - Published on Amazon.com
this book is very good for advanced spirit summoners. it has a lot of information in it. it could be very dangerous though to use the techniques if u r a beginner for the editor has left out some parts so the unintiated could not use the information that is herein this book. but if u r a competent summoner than this book is for u. it has everything u need to do besides of course the characters and names of the spirits u can summon, but it does hint at what and where u can find the names of what u summon.
