The Chamaecyparis Thyoides Rubicon is an outstanding, compact, upright evergreen conifer with bronzy grey green Summer foliage turning a distinctive rich burgundy-red in winter. Best planted in a sheltered rockery or small border. Position: Best in a sunny or part shaded spot, sheltered from North and East winds in any fertile, well drained soil. Mature Height/Spread: (10 years) 75cm (30in) x 45cm (18in). Plant care: Initially, soak the root ball before planting. Plant in a hole twice the diameter of the root ball or pot. Mix an organic soil improver and general fertiliser with the infill soil. Water regularly until established. Water well during dry spells and protect from frosty winds in Winter.
