I've found many of the SAP books to be of limited value; they tend to concentrate on high level overviews with only very limited information on how to actually accomplish anything. So it was a pleasant surprise to find a book that was of some use.

This book concentrates on the Sales & Distribution function within SAP; it provides some good background on the normal processes within the product and gives some useful details on how to carry out the configuration changes to set the system up in the way that you might find of the most value.

Our project team members from that functional module have found it to provide some very useful information, and it has highlighted a number of areas where things were not done the best way during our product implementation. Using the book, we have identified where and how we should make the necessary changes to get the system working in the best way for us.

This is not something to be used by the end users; but would be of some value to those that have been charged with making the system actually work, whether it be a first implementation, an upgrade from an earlier version or just a check to make sure that things are being done in the best way.

In the world of SAP, one generally finds authors explaining in the manner of riddles. They lack detailed information in areas such as Configuration, Case Studies, screen-shots (a picture speaks a thousand words). One generally needs some prior SAP knowledge before reading those books. Finally we now have a book which provides all these details on one of the most popular Modules in SAP- Sales and Distribution. This book is extensive and intensive in its explanation. The authors share all their experiences which they seem to have acquired from over the years. The USP of this book as to be the number of screen-shots and detailed configuration explanation Configuring SAP ERP Sales and Distributionand Menu path details. It should be the only book on your SAP SD shelf...until the author comes with his latest version.

This is excellent book and i am very impressed with it's contents, language and quality.

This book provided me with all the information I needed concerning SAP SD. Each section gives you step by step instructions on how to configure the SAP SD functionalities effectively

I have not seen a book which can compete in explaining in concepts in such a clear and concise manner. It also has hundreds of screen shots and a case study that guides you throughout the learning process. The book also explains EHP functionalities and covers advanced technical topics overview too.

Especially helpful are the tips and notes which give useful advice, warnings and time-saving OSS notes.

Many say that SAP has been an ocean and sales and distribution module is the most complex and critical to every business model. For the first time, I have seen such a complex module being simplified and yet explained the depth of the subject with the best possible crystal clear example. When I started to read the book, I was really worried that I may not be able to grasp the subject and need someone to teach the subject, but soon I started to realize as if someone is teaching me Sales and Distribution module. This book has been laid out very seamlessly and very easy to understand. Even though I was new to the subject, this book has helped me like a tutor and jump starts my learning process. This book has not only covered different areas of Sales and Distribution but also other aspect of SAP such as table entries, Integration with other modules and advance techniques such as EDI/ALE etc. Important bullet points catch the eye of the reader easily and SAP screenshot has been captured and presented in the best way. I have read many SAP related books and main difference that I observed in this book is- unlike other books which explain only basic concept, this book has gone much ahead in creating a crystal clear picture of the concept and answer when to use, where to use and how to use these concepts!!

Very much impressed after reading this book.Normally you'll find books explaining the concepts and leaving in middle of it(that's what we generally feel),but while i was reading this book from page one it took me into the real SAP SD world showing different functionalities it has got or it can perform.

The best part of the book is its detailed explaination of the topic along with screen shots,and giving the example of the musical instruments in-between the pages added to its flavour.

This book is really a Friend,Philosopher and Guide for consultants who marched ahead on the road of SAP SD world with doubts all along the journey---Can blindly rely on it.

The USP of the book is in its simplicity--giving more than you expected.

Anything said is less for this kind of a book, "KUDOS" to the Authors and all those involved in it.
