While not heavy going and a reasonable read I found this book attempted to cover too much, both the IOS and non-IOS systems. After reading the whole book in one hour the technical info I was after just wasn't in there and I was left with an "is that it?" feeling. Commendable for having some real world examples but the lack of any reference information sunk it. Not bad if you are after an overview, otherwise wait for something a bit deeper to come along.

This book starts out with an introductory chapter on Cisco and its progression into one of the largest networking companies, a very interesting chapter.

The book continues with a gentle introduction into the use of Cisco Routers and internetworking routers with ISDN.

Overall an interesting and comprehensive book for the network administrator who is assigned the task of internetworking Cisco Routers with ISDN!

An excellent, easy to follow guide to Cisco routers. 6 Feb 1999

Format:Paperback
As a Technical Editor for Seagate Software I am responsible for creating documentation that is usable by the novice but contains the details needed by the advanced administrator. This book easily meets those requirements. I read through subjects that I was familiar with to subjects that were new to me without any difficulty. It also includes several detailed Appendixes including one specifically on ISDN that I found very informative. Configuring Cisco Routers for Isdn is excellent reading and a great addition to the reference bookshelf.

Contents are totally out of your expectation of this title. 13 Feb 1999
By michael@lin.co.uk - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book is not worth anything, other than give you a wrong expectation of this book title, I thought that this book is giving you some ideas of ISDN connectivity configuration on Cisco routers, but it is NOT, a very mere knowledge of such, this book gives you nothing about ISDN <> Cisco Routers, DO NOT buy it, the book title does not live up with its contents.
