Although I have bought a lot of self help books over the years, I would be the first to admit that I rarely act on the advice given. However this book seems to be different. I don't know whether it's the colour pages that make the book seem companionable and accessible or the way in which the author gives insight into why we lose our confidence, but somehow this book works for me.
Having read it through twice I feel much more confident about my place in the world, less having to justify myself all the time. The book seems to subtly tap into the natural line of confidence and I carry it around with me all the time like a friend I can talk to and chat with.
I think that is because of the warmth the book conveys and as it says inside, confidence cannot grow in the presence of coldness.
