Product Description

Product Description

Her name is on everyone's lips, but can she help it if she was born rich and famous? Here's a bird's eye view of the fast, fun world of Paris Hilton, packed with enough photos, advice and inside scoop to help anyone become an heiress and live a privileged life. Socialite, fashion icon, television and movie star, recording artist and just plain celebrity: Twenty-two year old Paris Hilton is the great granddaughter of hotel magnate Conrad Hilton and is estimated to be worth $30 million. The world first became aware of Paris Hilton through a Vanity Fair profile in 2000. Since then, she has graced the pages of countless magazines, newspapers, and tabloids; modeled on the runways of top designers; appeared on television shows as herself ('Saturday Night Live', MTV Music Awards) and as fictional characters (the new Sky One show 'Las Vegas'); had small parts in movies like 'The Cat in the Hat', 'Win a Date with Tad Hamilton' and the upcoming 'The Hillz'; has begun work on an album; and starred in a hit reality series, 'The Simple Life' (shown here on Channel 4). She has been romantically linked with current boyfriend Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, Rick Solomon (of the notorious sex tape), and Deryck Whibley of Sum 41.

4.0 out of 5 stars A sneak-peak into a world of Excess, 28 Mar 2005
By Ella (London, Europe) - See all my reviews
This is a light-hearted photo-book of Paris Hilton's life and friends. I hesitate to call it a book, or even an autobiography - instead it's better to look at it at as a portfolio. Filled to the brim with images of Paris and her famous friends and family, with short, funny chapters inbetween that deal with the main areas of her life i.e. fashion, beauty, boyfriends etc.

I think Hilton's saving grace is that she does not take herself too seriously, and her writing shows this. She gently mocks herself and the whole notion of being an heiress, and in doing so makes the book accesible to us mere mortals. I was especially impressed with her jokey 'diet' advice, which basically tell you to eat whatever you want, when you want, and to indulge in cheesburgers and candies on a daily basis. It shows Hilton to be very young at heart and it's refreshing to hear of somebody who tries to enjoy each minute of life to the best they can.

If you like Paris and the whole young-Hollywood scene that's happening at the moment, then you're sure to enjoy this book. Take it this way, if you can't stand to watch MTV or flick through a copy of People magazine then steer clear - this book isn't for you.

A cheeky look at a glamourous world, that doesn't reveal anything too specific but is still a great read.

im so glad she put pictures thoughout the whole book. even though im gay. i think paris hilton is probably one of the most glam and beautiful people alive at the moment. and personally i think shes really cool with how she handled the whole internet video thing. GO PARIS u deserve an award lol.
also paris's dog is so cute!! ive never really liked small dogs but i just keep flicking through the book to see the cute pics of the adorable pup.

5.0 out of 5 stars That's HoT!, 24 Oct 2005
'Confessions of an Heiress' is an amazing book for any Paris Hilton fan or aspiring heiress!!!

It's a very cute, glossy, fancy book- with so many pictures, its sure to not disappoint. You will find thousands of pictures of Paris in different amazing outfits, and also pictures of her with family and friends.

As for the advice & writing in the book - dont expect it to be too serious, its all very lighthearted but very entertaining and gives you an inside glimpse into Paris' life...from fashion to travelling & her lifestyle, family and even food! Paris also gives tips & advice on literally every aspect of life.

This was a great present for me, and I wasnt dissapointed,- I love this book...ITS HOT!
