I agree with all the reviews here - good and bad - at times I found her silly and spoilt and more than a bit batty (and not in a nice way) but I also found her brave (for having two kids back to back so to speak) and forgivable for all the bad traits because she's so human! I read bits where she's reacting to situations just the same way I do (unfortunately) and she appears to be married to a clone of my husband! But it was the last chapter that really rang some bells. I was left with a comfortable, warm feeling that, yes, I AM NORMAL AFTER ALL! I'm going to buy this book for all my friends....

Got this as a tongue in cheek gift for my wife, as she loves this style of book (very like Confessions of Slummy Mummy etc) and she thought it was great. Very well observed humour and well written, will resonate with most mothers of young children.

By Seuss
Format:Paperback
Being a first time mum, I was tired of my 'guide books' which were quite dry reading. When I stumbled across this, I thought, well - this was probably going to be easier to read than my guide books. I managed to finish in 2 days which is quite a feat (now it usually takes me 1 month)! It is a hillarious and honest read. It is hard being a mum and trying to do so many things - then come across other mums who seem to just breeze through! I definately recommend this for all mums and mums-to-be. All the books from Celebrity Mums and all that pale in comparison to this! My only regret is NOT to have read this Before Baby. Then i would have an idea what lay ahead!

Funny, but made me scared to have kids
This is a funny book. It's truthful, honest and paints a picture of a real experience of Motherhood. However, I found I was expecting a little less negativity than I found here. Read more

Very Nice Book
This is a very funny book, although not to be taken too seriously. Motherhood is hardwork, and the majority of us just get on with it - with no outside help. Read more
