Great little knife - full tang and feels solid and strong. I bought this for the wife as she had just become a Scout leader but it would also be great for a Cub or Scout. Is probably to small to fit comfortably in most men's hands though. A proper tool without orange bits on and the handle can be embellished to personalize it if you wish.
Arrived promptly - i had no reason to contact the vendor.

Gets the frugal bushcrafter nod of approval! 13 Oct 2011

Folks, this is a fun little knife that won't break the bank but is a great addition to the pack before heading out to the woods. It won't weigh you down or bust your wallet, and is sharp and robust enough to endure rough handling.

Sharp out of the box! I whipped out my Dremel, added jimping, then woodburned in some decoration which also adds a textured grip (burned my initials on the obverse).

This knife should be standard issue for all Cub Scouts, and it is standard issue for this old scout!

Nice little knife 7 Jan 2013

I use this at work and home for just about everything. From opening boxes and letters to cutting tags off shirts to slicing veggies, fruit, meat. It's only 3" which makes it very easy to carry around.

The leather sheath is so nice and thick that I feel like i got a heck of a deal for the price. With many knives in this price range the sheaths are absolute garbage. But this one is beautifully hand made.

good foundation for a good knife 24 Nov 2012

I have owned this for several months and I like the knife with a few caveats. If you have grown up with the typical fare from american knife makers, then you will be surprised with the rough quality of the Condor offerings. These are real tools and are made to be used rather then admired. The handle is made from a hardwood but no one would say that it was sanded to a smooth luster. The blade appears to be hand ground and it has some slight variations. The upper portion of the blade is painted or coated with a gray paint, probably to keep the carbon steel from rusting. My only real gripe is that the handle doesn't accommodate all four of my fingers comfortably. My pinky always seems to be on the verge of sliding off, although it never does. So I am in the process of deciding how to deal with that. Not a big deal but something one should be aware of.

I have reground the blade to a scandi grind and polished off that gray paint.

In my humble opinion, one should look at this product as a foundation for a knife that will be perfect for you. 1075 steel, a full tang, and the sheath is very good. If you don't mind a few minor imperfections, one can put in a small amount of effort and come out with a tool that will be a workhorse.

Spend 3 digits or 2 for a bushcraft knife 1 Mar 2013
By veranda tales - Published on Amazon.com
I bought my Condor thru Amazon, the knife is an excellent bushcraft value. I have bought other Condor knives and find them a great value as well. Just remember to keep the blade oiled.

It is what a knife should be. A good blade and handle at a great price. I like the wood handle scales.
