This is an excellent, well priced thesaurus with a large choice of synonyms for each word. It's a relatively large book, which means it's easy on the eyes when searching through it. It also contains a wordfinder which allows you to look up words for different things. E.g. human bones, illnesses, phobias, animals etc.

I purchased the 3rd edition of this thesaurus to replace my 2nd edition which was falling apart, It is a disappointment and nowhere (in my opinion) as good as the 2nd edition. It is apparently "updated!" but like a lot of things labelled "new and improved" it is just "almost as good". The lists, essential to me as a crossword addict are now in the centre of the book in one place but nowhere as comprehensive - no lists of countries, philophers, poets, artists etc.. I am looking for somewhere to get my old edition rebound.

Well worth the price, a very useful addition to anyone use of language. Immensely practical and a joy in its simplicity to use, or to read to increase your word competence at your leisure.

Very handy
Quick delivery. Going back to uni I decided it was time to replace my old, cheap, inadequate thesaurus. Although I've only been browsing the Concise Oxford Thesaurus I'm impressed.

Good Quality
Good quality edition. Well worth spending a bit extra to get the Oxford edition of the thesaurus as much more information that any other editions. Great value for money.

The 'Falls Apart' Thesaurus
Content - excellent.
But fell apart within a couple of months.
