This Lexicon is based on HALOT which is a lot more expensive (120 GBP) and it is very useful as it shows the "other school" i.e. opposite to Gesenius and BDB from which it differs in many words. I would recommend to own both the original Gesenius (which is better than the "revised" version they called "BDB") and also this (Holladay) lexicon.

great for 1st year students at undergraduate level, you set the pace on this home study course. It is without any doubt beneficial for those who wish to advance there degrees further by reading ancient languages specifically when it is to compliment Theological degrees. This is a must to compliment your studies in ancient Hebrew.

This is a workmanlike dictionary that is well laid out with clear typography. I found some of the abbreviations excessive, but this is a feature of most dictionaries and familiarity will no doubt ease use. This is not a totally comprehensive dictionary and has neither the apparatus sought by the expert, nor the aids needed by the absolute beginner. Nevertheless, it has everything that the 'average' user is likely to want at an affordable price.
