Although this is a very good book there is better .Do not buy this book new as it is priced around £50 and it is not worth that amount of money by a long way.
I only paid 1 pence for it in good used condition.The text is ok but there are not enough photo's of different fish.If you are new to fish keeping or simply want to find more species of fish then i would suggest "The Interpet Bumper Guide To Tropical Aquarium Fishes" it is better priced new and there are lots of used copies about and there are a lot more photo's and information on different fish. The text is also very informative.

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC BOOK,WISH I GOT IT YEARS AGO. IT HAS EVERTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN SELECTING FISH FOR A TANK. LETS YOU KNOW WHAT FISH GOES TOGETHER AND WHICH DO NOT. THIS WAY YOU DO NOT PUT THE WRONG TYPE OF FISH TOGETHER AND MAYBE LOOSE SOME OF THEM.

This a a great book to buy before you start keeping fish, but is equally good to refer to when buying new ones, i've had mine for a couple of years now and always find what i'm looking for
