Most Helpful Customer Reviews

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Joana Inês Pontes on 27 Nov. 2009
Format: Hardcover
The book it's a litle bit historical.. it tells you how the things begin (when/how the concept of "race" appeared), the way it was understood and makes you travel around some fields related to the concept of race: i) biology; ii) antropology; iii) psychological. It's easy to read, very accessible and you can have a clear idea of how the things developed. It's also very "contemporary" namely, the last part concerning "the race and intelligence. It's not about the "latest fashion" but it helps understanding part of this complex problematic about "race".
