Do you want a master on concentration?, 14 Nov 1998

Well, how could you describe a book which could lead you to higher spheres, through own mental and spiritual understanding. This book is not only a good and thoroughly well written book on concentration; it also is a book in which the earnest seeker may find the right path to follow. The "path" is not described explicitly but by a sense of rightness in each paragraph. It is not a book for just reading and accepting; the reader will find most recompense if he stops every word and meditate on the whole of the paragraph in which the word is part of. By doing this you will be preparing to concentration exercises which constitutes the second part of the book. More than hundred pages are dedicated to the preparation of the first exercise. At first I thought it was unnecessary but now I realize that it has to be such a preparation to really be in the "mood " of concentration If you do not want hard work, and I mean really hard work which will for sure put you at the extreme test, do not buy it; this book could maybe damage you with lots of frustration and worthless feelings. However do you want to improve whatever mental effort you are dealing with nowadays and want to do it because of a sincere good or noble motive, then buy the book right away. You will not regret it.
