start here! 24 Dec 2009

For anybody who is interested in computer science but is starting from the very beginning start here. I am starting a computer science degree and until I read this book I had no idea of the scope of what would be involved. This book gives details of pretty much everything while remaining simple enough for someone who is just starting out.

I absolutely love this book.
It covers a large range (around ten) Computer Science topics in good detail, assuming absolutely no knowledge whatsoever but also not dumbing the content down.
I strongly recommend this to anyone who is interested in reading Computer Science at university, or just wants to gain an appreciation of how our modern age really works.
Five stars!

Book is great and came in perfect condition. Acquired access to online tutorials and tests with a code which was in the book, too.
