When I have questions about specific concepts or technologies I find the explanations in this book to be much more direct and understandable than those that I find on the internet. Some of the descriptions can a bit long-winded, but that's fine. I just skip them. I am a computer science graduate student, but my undergrad degree was not in computer science, it was in psychology. I feel this is a good book for the technically-minded intermediate level student.

Easy to read for people just starting with networking, but also very technical for those beyond the novice level. The coding samples are a great help and the diagrams and graphs as well.
