A charming little book detailing text adventures. Page 126 has a good bullet list of things to do if you are writing your own adventures. If you are a fan of IF, buy this book :)

5.0 out of 5 stars An oldie, but a good read 13 Sep 2013

Enjoying the book so far, it gives ideas and defines concepts important to adventure game writing that anyone could take away and apply to almost any modern interactive project. It was written in a time when the Atari ST and Amiga were common and the IBM PC compatible was mostly still a business machine, as such the technical flavour is very nostalgic. The book even contains a brief letter inserted at the beginning from the author who is almost apologetic that the technology described in the book is out of date and offers a link to a website to explore further which I felt was a nice touch. The subject however is still relevant and written in an easy to read and entertaining way.
