Product Description

Album Description

Monty Norman's double CD contains his performances of some of his many hit songs from his musicals, including the original song that became The James Bond Theme (Bad Sign, Good Sign). The second CD is devoted to songs that relate to James Bond and has a stunning performance of the classic theme (which has appeared in all 20 James Bond Movies) by upcoming Jazz virtuoso Paddy Milner. The album also has a large 18 page foldout poster with references to Monty's musicals and to some of the Bond movies.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect circle, 2 Oct 2011

Here is another james Bond Theme. Very cynical and humorous. But without John Barry, Bond would have been killed in the first half of the movie Dr. No in 1962.

If it's a grey day and you need some cheer definitely play this double cd. The second CD deals with the James Bond theme and its orgin with some new pieces which are really enjoyable. My only reservation is that it isn't the whole of the James Bond theme that one hears in the movies and is missing the middle (and best section) but that aside i recommend this album to all film music and stage musical fans.

3.0 out of 5 stars Monty Norman With Co-Authorship John Barry Musical Director 1962., 20 Nov 2011

Monty Norman still needs advise on how to construct theme..No reference to anything or help from John Barry.Very tired of no acknowlegement to John Barry.007 legacy of the late John Barry and recent death will give him credit in time. But we find it difficult for Monty to at least to come clean. This world revolves around so much greed...Money...Money. Monty Norman composed medley,no discord. But he has no respect or time frame for Barry John Barry. He needs to come clean to the John Barry Memorial Fund Organization. And really look himself in the mirror and to make a conclusion not in vain but to grow up..3 value stars.-2 stars for untruthful no merits
