Format:Hardcover
This contains all of his fiction, all of his poetry, nine plays including the original four-act version (longer with an extra character) of "The Importance of Being Earnest", the full length British Library version of De Profundis, his essays and a few odds and ends and an excellent introduction by his son Vyvyan Holland. What more could you ask for? The best bits are classics of late Victorian literature, and even the very weakest bits are delightful. No literary collection is complete without Wilde and this is as good as collection as any.

Like other reviewers I was disappointed to find important sections of the basic Kindle edition completely blank, De Profundis in particular. 72p is still a bargain for what's there but if you want a complete edition of Wilde's works, sadly this isn't it.

This is the first time I've read any of Wilde's work and I'm at a loss for words to say how much I've enjoyed my first experiences of his writing. I've loved what I have read so far and look forward to reading more. I will be upgrading to a properly complete edition though.

For clarification I would give Oscar Wilde's writing 5 stars without hesitation, but would recommend that you choose a better edition of his works.

Bargain of Bargains! 29 Dec 2011

56p, that's all this hardback book cost, and what do I got for it? a collection of timeless Oscar Wilde classics. My personal favourite is the ultra-sentimenal 'The Happy Prince' but there is also 'The Picture of Dorian Gray', 'The Importance of being earnest' 'An Ideal Husband' 'The Duchess of Padua, a collection of poems and much more. If I could buy every book I ever needed from this seller in the future, I would. And the book came in excellent condition too.
