Book Description

3 Feb 2009 Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball introduces a young monkey-tailed boy named Goku (a wry update of the classic Chinese "Monkey King" legend), whose quiet life changes when he meets a girl named Bulma who is on a quest to collect seven "Dragon Balls." If she gathers them all, an incredibly powerful dragon will appear and grant her one wish. But the precious orbs are scattered all over the world, and Bulma could use the help of a certain super-strong boy . . . The Demon King Piccolo When Kuririn is killed by a lizard-like monster, Goku goes in search of the culprit and finds his most terrifying enemy yet: the evil Demon King Piccolo! Freed after centuries of imprisonment, Piccolo sends waves of monsters on a mission to find the Dragon Balls and destroy any martial artists who might oppose him. With his flying cloud destroyed, Goku finds himself lost in the jungle where he meets an unlikely new ally. Meanwhile, Kame-Sen'nin prepares a last-ditch plan to defeat Piccolo . . . but at what cost?

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Manga - Shame About The Quality 10 Jan 2011
By Zael
Format:Paperback
Okay, so this box set is absolutely amazing! The art style is fantastic and the story is fun and exciting, not to mention the value for money! works out to around 3 something a volume!
I got this for Christmas and i havent put it down since, im on volume 14... which bring me to the problem. i was just reading the opening chapter of said volume, and BANG there it is, a huge ink spill that must have occured at some point in the printing process, im sorry but this is unacceptable considering it's a box set so it is likely that you will be keeping the books for future reading.
I was happy to look over this as it was the first problem ide had with the item, but then on the second chapter of volume 14, theres another huge ink spill that takes up almost an entire panel! I cannot tell what is happening on this panel!
i think because of this (and the fact i want to keep them for the future) i will end up having to replace vol.14 as the rest of the volumes are fine. dont know about vol.15/16 yet though, we'll have to see.

definitely worth the money and a staple of anyones manga collection.

P.S i gave it 4 *'s because i LOVE the series but the translation isnt too good, a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes, call me picky but i find it ruins the experience when you notice them... Not to mention hge INK SPILLS!!! still worth the risk though, will read this series many more times in the future!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product and service! 28 July 2011

Format:Paperback
As usual with Amazon, the product arrived on time and in great condition. As for the Box Set itself, there's not much to say that hasn't already been said apart from it seems to be uncensored, which is always good in my book. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dragon Ball Complete Box Set Review 24 Feb 2011
By Zakre
Format:Paperback
A very good, interseting and hilarious story line with lots
of cool action, butt-kicking. Manga is drawn very well
and has alot of detail. A very good action-packed, funny series.

The posters are really cool and the booklet is also packed with info
on Dragon Ball AND Dragon Ball Z.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dragon Ball (Volumes 1-16) 5 Sep 2010
Format:Paperback
Excellent Series. The characters are fun. The storyline does it's job and holds your attention. The fighting is well thought out and puts an emphasis on both technique and physical prowess.
