While I agree with the other reviewer's point that the audio quality is sub-par, I can't let his 1-star review be the only thing on here representing this album. The music is sensational. Of course I wish the quality was better, but this release is intended more for consumption by jazz connoisseurs who can look past the quality and appreciate the historical value of this one-of-a-kind collaboration between jazz giants. You also have to understand that this was recorded in a club. There are patrons milling about, phones ringing in the background, and a lot of noise that provides a sense of what it would be like to actually see a show like this live. While it might not add to the musical beauty of the recording, these audio artifacts are what they are. If a remaster comes out that gets rid of excess noise and make the instruments more audible, I'll be all over it like a fat kid in a candy store, but until then, this is the only recording of an amazing event in jazz, and you kind of have to take the bad with the good.
