Finally these singles are on one cd. The 12 page booklet is very informative with a few pics and record sleeves shown. The music ranges from the sublime to the criminally neglected (shame on you EMI). I had only heard of half of these tracks before, there are many gems waiting to be discovered here. My favourite discoveries are 'It just don't matter now', 'Beyond the shadow of a doubt', the beautiful 'One minute woman' and 'I call for my rose' (there are to many to mention). Other top class tracks would be, 'Hurtin' is loving', 'Things are changing' and my all time favourite Billy Fury song 'Lady', which is just glorious. Please note that some of these tracks are sadly muffled (as if from disc dubs), but that didn't spoil my enjoyment one jot. I would highly recommend this cd to anyone - great music from our greatest male recording artist - BILLY FURY.

For fans this CD is a must. Some of the songs have never been on CD before. The material is diverse in song quality and style and not all songs will please those listeners who like the early Fury stuff. But if some songs are not the best, his voice is. My absolute favourite is Beyond the shadow of a doubt - I have waited twenty years to get the track - which is a fantastic song that should have been a huge hit but unfortunately was not. Among others Suzanne in the mirror and Lady are among the best he has ever done.

This vast collection of lesser known Billy Fury songs is very diversified. Billy sings some really unusual haunting songs and performs them brilliantly! Most of these songs were released during the mid sixties through to the early seventies. As the British music scene changed through the sixties Billy Fury seemed to adapt well. A number of these songs most definitely should have charted! But alas all Solo Artist's suffered from dwindling record sales once the "British Pop Groups " came along in the mid sixties. Billy Fury held his own through the decade but a weak heart due to his contracting Rheumatic Fever as a child and again as a teenager made sure that he would always be battling ill health. There are plenty of beautiful songs on this CD that could have been "HITS." Hurtin' is Loving, Things are Changing, Suzanne in the Mirror, Beyond the Shadow of a Doubt, One Minute Woman, Lady, I Call for my Rose, Why are you Leaving, In My Room, and Lyanna are all very special. 29 songs on one CD is great value! A number of songs on this CD were written by the great man himself! Proving that Billy was more than just a VERY GOOD SINGER blessed with GREAT LOOKS and a lot of CHARISMA! It makes you wonder what he would have achieved had he not been plagued by constant health problems that caused him to go in and out of retirement. I have no doubt that he would still be making beautiful music even now had he been lucky enough to live. He was certainly an active songwriter right up until the end of his life. His "COMEBACK" in the early eighties proved to be an exciting event and a promise of greater things to come. Billy's charm comes across and touches you. This is an impressive CD and I would highly recommend it.

I never knew Billy had recorded for Parlophone after leaving Deccs. I prefer his Decca years but his voice is still great on this cd, I just feel the material is not up to his usual standard, however there are some songs I am familiar with so it was good to hear Billy sing them..

it's been a long wait but it's been worth it to get this Parlophone collection on one cd. Sound quality on a few tracks isn't brilliant but is good enough. A must for all fans of Billy.
