The Million Dollar quartet really is a fascinating listen..Elvis jamming his own songs, along with other songs from the time...with Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. The quality isn't fantastic, but that's just down to the session being impromptu. There's a lot of off mic banter between the guys, and it's interesting to listen to...if you're into elvis, you really shouldn't be without this album..

The Complete Million Dollar Sessions
All that can be said is that this has to be a must for any devout Elvis fan. The CD really reflects the talent that existed at the Sun studios all those years ago. It is like being a fly on the wall listening to artists just having a ball. Great, don't expect sophisticated sound quality, just soak in the atmosphere of a session that is a genuine piece of modern musical history.

This album is of the utmost importance to those with an interest in the history of popular music. The personnel featured are giants of rock 'n' roll, and the sheer raw energy comes across in this spontaneous jam session. Even this early in his career, Elvis shows clearly that he is the "king" and takes control easily and naturally. Not to be missed!

Great stuff with Elvis taking the lead and the other two(Perkins and Lee lewis) falling in line.Cash took absolutely no part in this session. He left the studio and arrived later in time to get his picture taken. Million dollar trio would be a more truthful description.
