Not for beginners 17 May 2011
By Mum F.
Format:Paperback
I've got this book from the library and am greatly enjoying reading it but it is definitely not a book that I would recommend for beginners. However, if you want a book to follow, say, the Cambridge Latin Course book 4 or 5, and bridge the gap between GCSE and A-level, this could be ideal. The author plunges straight into sentences drawn from a wide range of ancient sources so you have the satisfaction of reading 'real' Latin, but build up your skills and vocabulary on a graded school course first!
