I have recently purchased the Teach Yourself Complete Indonesian, together with the 2 CDs Complete Indonesian with Two Audio CDs: A Teach Yourself Guide (Teach Yourself: Reference)
It is perhaps a little too early to give a full review, but so far I am very happy the way it is presented.
I find it very clear and informative and using it together with the CDs, I have found I am learning fast. What I like of the CD version is that they not only start saying the words and sentences at a slow pace, but also then repeat it as it would be spoken at normal speed. They also encourage you to rehearse and rehearse and to keep listening so that you may confidently understand an Indonesian and speak at the normal spoken speed.
I also suggest you purchase a dictionary, for instanceTuttle Concise Indonesian Dictionary: Indonesian-English English-Indonesian (Dictionary) as a phrase book is not sufficient if you want to learn more words.
The phrasebook by Lonely Planet 'Indonesian' is handy to tuck inside your hand luggage (keep on studying on the plane to while away those long hours) Indonesian (Lonely Planet Phrasebook)
