The book itself is fine although it does not contain all of the Sherlock Holmes stories, the reason for two stars is that the books are in the incorrect order from page one, which caused me to start reading one of the last books first.

It's quite magical that one can download huge amounts of text wirelessly to a Kindle. Regarding the review I'm reliving my youth when I was an avid reader of Conan Doyle and Jules Verne along with many other exciting authors. These writers of yesteryear created brilliant tales which stand up to the test of time and allow one to get into the ambience of their time.

I've just started to read The Short Stories section on Kindle and find them totally absorbing, taking me back to when I was 16 when I first read them. Even though they have been serialised on TV, the stories still seem as fresh as ever.

Kindle is an ideal way of reading Sherlock; you can read as much or as little as you like at a time and then simply switch off, without looking for bookmarks etc., and then return at any time you like to rejoin the plot without losing your page. The size of the Paperwhite is very much more convenient than toe comlete volumes in paper/hardback.

I find that the Kindle Paperwhite lighting is adjustable for all room lighting conditions and is not at all glarey, downloaded all of the Sherlock volumes in very few minutes, and gives ample warning of needing a recharge.

The book is probably suitable for anyone from 16 to 90 years of age. It was no wonder that there was such an uproar when Arthur Conan-Doyle killed Sherlock off, and then had to bring him back.

The book arrived in pristine condition - the way I like and is certain to be a good read for the child who is a Sherlock Holmes fan!
