Amazon.co.uk Review

The lavish illustrations, which are set jewel-like into the orderly text, promise that simply handling this now classic handbook on Feng Shui will be an authentic and enjoyable Feng Shui experience in itself. The author, Lillian Too, whose interest in Feng Shui started with her high- flying career in the Hong Kong banking world, is now a world recognised expert on the subject and her dynamism has ensured that the layout of this book reflects the contents. The book is divided into simple sections: the philosophy and principles of Feng Shui, including its definitions and history; a section on the practical application of the art to the reader's life, with useful diagrams throughout analysing location, design and decoration of the home; and, ultimately, the use of Feng Shui to enhance personal relationships. The author's vision and clarity of style instruct the novice in easy stages, with added interest in the form of appropriate legends from the Chinese as well as anecdotes and examples from both Chinese and Western culture. Whether the reader is interested in the practical application of Feng Shui or is merely an interested onlooker, the beautiful design and Lillian Too's evident expertise make this book a joy to own. --Claire Aloysia Ritson

A fabulous book: there's been a lot of rubbish written about Feng Shui, which is dangerous as Feng Shui really works ! What might seem like inappropriate concerns for Western culture (tips like "don't over-decorate your toilet") still apply, regardless. Lillian Too knows what she's talking about, so I'd say listen to her and forget the rest.

When I bought this book, I thought it was so beautifully designed with such gorgeous pictures that it might not be useful. But of all the 20 or so books of Feng Shui that I have, it is the one I always go to first whenever I move and redecorate because it is so easy and inspiring.

An excellent guide for beginners in feng shui. Illustrations and examples are very clear and you get a generall idea of the subject. I think though that it should give some more examples and idealy some case studies.
