Reflexology is a unique system of foot massage based on holistic principles and springing from the same Chinese roots as acupuncture. Beautifully illustrated and full of specially commissioned photographs, this practical guide includes:
The history of reflexology and the importance of its holistic approach
• The anatomy of feet and the workings of reflexology
• The meridian system and how it works
• The use of foot massage to achieve a positive and balanced lifestyle
• Self-treatment and basic techniques
• A thorough reference section
This practical guide offers the reader a window into this remarkable therapy which can treat and prevent a whole variety of ailments. It is ideal for both the novice and experienced reflexologist alike.

This re-issue of Inge Dougans's early text on learning reflexology makes a perfect complement to her "Practical Introduction" - clear colour photographs explain the various techniques very well. Recommended both for students of reflexology and for general interest.

Most reflexologists are satisifed by the fact that reflexology works without seeking to know why. Inge Dougans isn't. She has truly advanced the field by attempting to integrate reflexology with the meridian system, which further explains a number of odd phenomena (haven't you ever worked on a reflex and had the client report a reaction somewhere completely different?)A landmark work - essential for all serious students of the field.

Brilliant- a must read for anyone studying or practising reflexology,
By Hello Kitty (Hampshire, UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Complete Illustrated Guide - Reflexology: Therapeutic foot masage for health and well-being (Paperback)
Bought this book following other positive comments and have found it invaluable resource to have while I am studying reflexology. It is easy to read, set out well with illustrations with case studies/examples so you can relate it properly. It explains how reflexology links with Chinese Meridians, an area that isn't always written in other books. This was very helpful for me to get a better understanding of that area of reflexology. A must for anyone studying reflexology or for a qualified reflexologist developing basic skills/techniques.
