Probably some of the most magical scores ever written for the screen. Although Hedwig's theme recurs throughout the majority of the tracks, it does not deter the listener from the enjoyment of this 'charming' two disc compilation.
The title "Complete" is probably a little misleading, as it does not include every piece from the whole series of movies, but to be fair it would have to include a lot of repetition, over many discs if it did.
I felt that the City Of Prague Orchestra under the direction of James Fitzpatrick, Nic Raine and Evan Jolly have done credit to the interpretation of the scores and the album has been excellently produced.
Obviously, there will be those detractors who cannot accept anything other than the original soundtracks from the movies and they of course would not be happy with any alternatives and I respect their choices.
I would certainly recommend this album to those wanting an overall perspective of the music of the Harry Potter scores without any reservations!
