About the Author

Here he specializes in late 17th to 19th century furniture, both buying and selling around the world. Billy has researched and written various specialist guides and gives lectures on the subject of restoration.

The photography and explanations in this book are brilliant. I'm not an experienced woodworker, and yet this book gives me the confidence to tackle things I didn't think were possible - let alone within my reach. Even if you're not into actual restoration, this book is great to see how quality furniture is, and was, constructed.

Finally a book everybody in the restorationtrade should own! Fantastic photographs on every step of the work to be done,clear no nonsense descriptions. If you buy only one book on the subject,this should be the one!!
