I have been a Dj for 8 years now and if i'm honest, i am sometimes sckeptical of the concept of a DJ Video being able to teach someone how to use the equipment. But i do sometimes run workshops for kids on how to DJ and use the equipment, and over several years i have noticed how many of these kids find video's very useful.

I have come across several video's before but until i found this one, i have never condsidered any DJ Video's to be of sufficient quality.

Well done to the makers of this video. They are the first people to genuinely show everything a beginner or intermediate DJ needs to know. They not only tell of how to set up and use the equipment (everything from basic mixing to more advanced techniques including basic scratching and turntabalism), but even go as far as to discuss how to get gigs and progress within a difficult industry.

Everything is covered with enough depth, but is not rushed through. The points are clear and concise and very easy to follow and practise against on screen.

Both myself and the kids i teach give this a definete thumbs up.

If you are starting your DJ career and you want to improve your skills then this is the DVD for you. It covers: beat mixing, scratching, etc. It also goes into some depth about set-ups for equipment etc. The DJ's commenting had some interesting stuff to say about how they started, and gave me good information on how to break into the Djing scene. I thought it was enjoyable.

very helpful if youre looking to start a career in DJing, i went from having skills but not knowing how the industry worked to being able to show my skills to hundreds of people every night.
