5.0 out of 5 stars Buy it you will not be disappointed, 21 Oct 2009

This is a fantastic book. I recommend it to all my clients who wish to take better care of their health. All the information is easily accessible, clearly written, well organised, nicely illustrated, cross referenced and includes the essentials. I have this book myself and refer to it regularly. There are great recipes (which i use) and lots of tips on how to heal common problems through food. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.
I had the pleasure of attending a course ran by Jean-Peirre Cousin and his knowledge and style was second to none. He is a practicing Doctor of Chinese medicine and has a wealth of knowledge, both Western and Eastern; although this book is not about Chinese dietary therapy it covers just the right amount of information without being too complicated. Nutrition is a vast subject and there is a lot of bad and good information out there. This book has been well researched and contains all the relevant details that you will need.

I have just purchased a second copy of this book to give as a present to someone very dear to me, since I don't want to give away my own copy.
The book is well presented and one inclusion I very much like is a fold over book mark to both front and back cover pages. This is a practical feature I like. It is an easy reference book, with great illustrations. The information is well presented, easy to read, very factual, easy to find and informative and applying it is very easy and delicious too.
I suffer from a number of complicated medical conditions. To further complicate matters I'm a life long vegetarian. Knowledge about diet and nutrition is very important, arguably it is to us all, of course; we are what we eat.
This book helps you think about your food and how you use it, alone or mixed together as ingredients for a meal. It helps you with the choice of foods that for each of us as idividuals may not be so good, or may be very good.
Yes and the recipes are simple but simply delicious.
A book I would thoroughly recommend to everyone, including young and old.
