The book is definately not for the faint hearted! What you have here is a thorough grounding in fitness from couch potato right through to ultra tough workouts. The programme is effective and realistic. My only word of advice is that depending on your current level of fitness it may take more than the specified weeks to reach your ultimate goal. Stick in with it and you will be rewarded with excellent strength and fitness. Definately recommended if you have the time and motivation. I have undertook many training routines and this workout is right up there with the best of them. Be warned though, if your not totally serious about your fitness then don't waste your money buying this book as you will be challenged to your max daily.

Sorry to be so gushing about this book but it really is that good.

I challenge you to keep up with the exercise programmes. Be prepared to spend a lot of time training.

I have had three copies of this book so far - I keep lending them out and not getting them back.

Make sure you get the edition with the DVD.

I practice martial arts and train every day since 1990. If you are serious about getting fit this is one of the few books out there. Easy to read, covers all the basic exercises you do in the military for the upper and lower body, give emphasis on the abdominals and explains how to perform each exercise right for best results. Also covers on different chapters' pull-ups and dips, running and swimming as well as rope climbing. One of the best things for the book is the workouts which prepare you for the BUD/S. You will definitely see very good results from the first week, I highly recommend this book, is a must if you want to be in a perfect shape. Note that the pictures in the book are very clear but in black and white and it comes with a DVD for the exercises.
