The back of the small paperback book promises features like album by album, track by track information about the music of the Rolling Stones to date (printed 1994). It also keeps its promises. This book is as much useful for a long time fan as for someone who wants to get to know the music of the band. All that you need is there: tracks, dates, complete index, a little history behind the music.
I can not avoid comparing this guide to another in the same series: Complete guide to the music of Elvis Presley. While guide to music of E.P. does not even have index(!) and is far from complete, rather ¨Introduction to the music of E.P., The Complete Guide to the Music of the Rolling Stones is as complete you can ever expext concidering its pocket (CD) size.

It Has Its Purpose 20 April 2003
By G. J Wiener - Published on
This booklet published before the Rolling Stones release Bridges To Babylon serves the purpose of outling each of the Rolling Stones songs and a summary of their recordings. A very detailed description of each track is given. Helpful for those debating whether to purchase a particular recording. Yes, there are some slight biases. However, the author does not make his opinion too overbearing. A nice pocket size booklet for Rolling Stones fans.

Informative but opinionated 21 Aug. 1999
By Marc Szeftel - Published on
This book should really be titled "The Complete Guide to One Man's Opinion of the Rolling Stones." Granted, you can hardly expect someone to discuss all the Stones' records without having some opinion; however, Hector's tone is fairly pretentious and almost always snobbish. Worth reading for hard-core Stones fans, but the Appleford book is much more detailed, and it isn't so painfully clear how hard the writer is trying to impress you with his critical voice.
(As you may have guessed, I disagreed with about 50 percent of what this guy wrote.)

Great way to roll along with the stones 14 Dec. 1998
By A Customer - Published on
This book covers every album and track recorded by the band from 1963-1994. Although it omitts two or three obscure cuts, it tells the story behind every other song, about *who played what*, *where it was recorded* and so on. Included are live albums and compilations. A book that will be essential reading for both new fans and diehard fans of one of the worlds greatest rock bands.

This book is another in the Omnibus series. Great little book packed with information from the beginning to the present. Most every Stones song is covered. Very thorough.

Great Seller Review 12 Oct. 2011

Verified Purchase
I received the product very pronptly but it did not look like the picture in the description. When I notified the seller, he replied right away and asked me to open the item to check if the author was the right one and if it was not to my satisfaction he would issue me a full refund and I could keep the book. When I told him it was not, he immediately issued me a full refund and told me to keep the book and CD. I rate this seller very highly and would definitely do business with him again!
