I use it as a reference book looking up how to treat ailments, such as migrains, diabetes, cancer, etc. It contains useful information about how what you eat affects the absorbtion of other nutrients. It also gives specific information about different foods. This is a must have book if you are interested about how what you eat affects your wellbeing.

This book was a gift from my husband which did not appeal to me when I received it but once I was diagnosed with an iron and calcium deficiency I discovered what a treasure trove the book is. The book is well-written and very informative book. It is easy to use as a reference material and the various sections mean that you can easily find information specific to a particular condition e.g. high blood pressure or look up a particular food, symptom or vitamin. Detailed information is provided in relation to a huge number of different foods with a full breakdown of their vitamin and mineral contents and their various therapeutic properties. It also has useful sections on the specific requirements of men, women, children and the elderly. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in improving their diet or general health.

Provides easy to understand advice on how to reshape your eating habits to cure both everyday ailments and also to prevent more serious illnesses/diseases. I refer to it almost daily - it is a "must have" handbook.
