I consider this to be one of the best buy's ( On Art )I have ever made. It is perfect for the beginner and explains things in a very clear way.
I am finding that it's helping me a lot with things like perspective etc.
I would certainly reccomend this book to anyone who is learning how to draw or paint.

This book is OK for a beginner in drawing, but if you want to learn to paint or illustrate in colour,forget it.
The book is entirely in monochrome, and at that its black and white. Some of the reproduction could have been better too.
That said it does explain the basic concepts of drawing well,and as we all know good drawing makes for good painting.
