This book is continually by my side. I loaned it at first from the local library, but it became such a valuable resource whilst considering the purchase of a Spanish property, that I just had to buy it for its thoroughness and step by step hints and tips.I purchased the 8th edition and hope there will be many more to come. Keep up the good work Tony !

A Outstanding Guidance as well as a Very well written book,

I bought this book in 2001 shortly before looking for villas in southern Spain. I found that the level of detail was enough for anyone to understand.I was so impressed with the content and thoughtful writing style that I approached Mr Foster for guidance on the purchase of a property in the Nerja region on Andalucia. He (as far as I am aware) still works out of offices in the town and dealt with every aspect of the buying procedure on our behalf. I am pleased to say we have owned a lovely property for just over three years now and we owe alot to the precise and professional way in which Tony helped us. A truly brilliant individual that I am happy to praise on any given occasion. I would not only recommend this book to you, but also would advise you to contact Tony if you are considering buying in this part of Spain.

Having made a permanent move to Spain, I can confirm that Anthony's guide is the best publication of its kind for preparing you for everything you need to know about buying a property in Spain.
It is clear and easy to understand, explaining the spanish terms and procedures, local quirks and hurdles, and discounting many of the rumours you hear whilst going through the process of buying. It's almost like listening to guidance from a good, trusted friend. I now work for one of the leading Estate Agencies on the Costa Del Sol, and Anthony is known and respected in the area by many of the reputable agencies. He has a vast experience buying and selling property and an abundance of local knowledge. I have also met several happy buyers he has helped through the stressful process of purchasing a property abroad. I would highly recommend this easy to read book if you are considering the leap to sunnier climes!
