I have looked at many bee books and have a nummber in my collection. This book is great for a person new to beekeeping and enables the newcomer to progress through the various phases, from geting the first nuc to gathering the first honey.I like the way it takes you through year 1,2 3 and beyond. I got through my first year of beekeeping with this book and studious study of the DEFRA leaflets on veroa control

I was given this book as part of a beekeeping course and have bought many others. this is the one I reach for to understand the next step in the beekeeping calendar, its got great pictures and holds your had through most of the tricky start. Great book highly recommended.
