Having grown up with the Motown sound, I didn't know all the drama associated with Marvin and Tammi. Her tragic death at 24 ended a beautiful parternership. Listening to their music today makes it all the more touching that with all the difficulties they both faced, they created some beautiful music. Including her solo versions make this CD a must for any Motown fan. What a delightful surprise!!!

Very catchy songs, some romantic others more soulful.

Of all the women he sang with (Diana Ross, Kim Weston etc), Marvin seemed most at ease with Tammi. (although they didn't always record their parts live in the studio together & some songs don't actually feature Tammi's voice at all!)

This CD contains all their hits plus some lesser known & diferrent versions of the hits.

You may be surprised how many you recognise!

Standout tracks for me include Ain't No Mountain High Enough, If This World Were Mine, You Ain't Living Until Your Lovin and The Onion SOng.

Well worth buying if you like romantic songs well sung.

I purchased this CD as I cannot now play my LP of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's Greatest Hits on vinyl. The decision to buy this version, rather than the direct replacement of the original Motown LP, is because of the inclusion of all the other duets for a similar price.

I am delighted with the bonus tracks and previously unreleased versions of some songs on this CD, plus the solo versions from Tammi alone - I was not aware of how prolifically the two had recorded for Motown.

It's a great CD and excellent value for money
