Yes, these sheets are cheap and they did me in a pinch when i had no washing machine and desperately needed to change my bed! But they are very thin and shiny, the duvet just slips around inside the cover. I wouldn't buy them for non-emergency use.

I wasn't put off by the price because I've bought others cheaper but have never seen such terrible quality. I took it out of the packet and as soon as I put it on the ironing board, The first pillow case has a line like a pulled thread running straight down the middle on both sides.. The second pillow case on the neck, one the left side it's stitched about two inches down and runs along to the other side which is stitched about an inch down. I checked the first one, and the stitching on that was fine, neat and about 10mm from the edge.
The duvet cover seemed OK on first inspection but on one of the sides I found that there was a big tuff of purple frayed material sticking out. (I have taken pictures.) I would never recommend this even when the situation is dire. I wanted to order from online because we wanted purple. That picture shows quite a nice blackcurrant colour which is beautiful.. In reality, It's more grape and is shiny. It looks slightly better ironed, and I'm yet to sleep in it.. It seems the material will slide on the ironing board so its probably going to do the same in the bed.

This product was good value, but quite a slippery fabric, so found it worked best when tucked in under the mattress.
