This is a very informational guide, I have been working with video for a while and wanted to go to stills. I was intimidated by the camera, and really did not have the time or patience to read a manual. I was not confident in what I needed to do with it to get good shots. This gave me the skills I need to get a professional shot. I went into photography as a hobby inspired by my friends who take it more serious. I visit so many great places and people, now I can get the shots to come out even better than before, it amazes me how different the photos look when you can make those small adjustments that you wouldn't learn about unless you went to a photography school. Great program!! I'm a visual learner, and with this you can watch and also follow along hands on with your camera. --Amazon

Excellent course, covered everything I needed to know and more plus its renewed my interest in photography again, I've bought a few of the recomended lenses and I can notice a huge difference in my images. --Amazon

This DVD is money well spent. I looked at taking a beginning photography class, but the cost was too high. It's a passion I always had, but never had the time and money to put towards it. I decided to try this DVD course. It has pretty much everything you need to know about the camera functions, how to use them and what not to do. Also there are really good tips on how to take great photos explaining artistic rules, lighting issues and blurry or fast action shots. Some of the lessons towards the end moved a little fast, but I think once I get more familiar with my camera it will become clear. I will always have the DVD to refer back to. The music is a little corny, but I guess it helps move the lessons along. --Amazon

I've got to say I was a little bit sceptical about paying £20 for a DVD course I didn't know too much about. However the positive feedback and reviews persuaded me that it was worth a punt. As it turned out, from the first time I loaded the DVD I was impressed with the quality of the content and the presentation. Overall extremely good value for money and a highly recommended product. Well worth £20 - how else are you going to learn this stuff without investing considerably more time or money?

I bought the course based on the reviews here on Amazon, I'm a weekend warrior photographer who specializes in Sport photography and wildlife and I needed some help on shutter speeds and getting sharper images, I'm confident now to take my camera off the running man and dial in my own settings, the course was easy to follow and best of all it was the cheapest thing I've bought in my photography kit.

So many photography books, videos, and "courses" today are either: 1. Outdated, or 2. Based on quick, how-to-snap-photos-in-different-weather-conditions-of-your-family (like the tons of 99-cent eBooks, of which I made the mistake of buying several). The Complete SLR Digital Photography Camera Course is a simple and easy - but detailed course on using your SLR to take the best photos possible with the least effort on your part. The fact that cameras today are so advanced does NOT mean that our photographs are lots of better - actually, many of the features today simply accent our bad photo-taking skills! Here, you get an excellent foundation for the basics of using SLR digital photograph (all the terms explained, the basics are patiently shown) and then the more advanced topics are brought in little by little. What I got out of the the most was the incredible power of cropping and framing, info I always just assumed was not a big deal but can completely change your picture's composition with very little effort on your part. Also, getting rid of noise which my pictures are horrid at instantly made my subsequent photos better. A fantastic course is here, I highly suugest it.

The Complete SLR digital Photography Camera Coure is exactly that, a complete course and everything that I needed to get up to speed on some jobs I had to do that required SLR. I am a photography novice and I realised that I needed to be better than I was or my illustrations would be sloppy. So last weekend I set out with this course and in a couple of days I was far better than before. I appreciate that the course is not camera specific so my Nikon was a great ride-along with me. In addition, the illustrations and step-by-step instruction enabled me to get the basics, especially the burst and continuous modes which I needed but had no idea how to achieve well. This is an excellent review for any photographer and a most-excellent course for newcomers like me!

This DVD is quite expensive in relation to the actual content. The presenter spends little more than a few minutes on each setting or activity and obviously does not go into detail. The beginner will learn very little from this DVD that you cannot get from a basic book about photography. Anyone who is not a beginner will be very disappointed with the content. Overall it's less than 1 hour long and introduces you to the basic settings and functions on your camera without really showing you how to use them. If you really cant be bothered reading a guide book for your camera or photography basics, then this may be for you, otherwise avoid it.

I've got a hybrid SLR/Compact Camera, a Canon G10, the course was good help as I hadn't really got a handle on the manual settings and I felt I was wasting my money on a high end camera, I was basicly using it as a point and shoot, the settings are exactly the same as the more expensive SLR's, simple and easy to follow examples and now I'm finally happy with my camera and my photography..

Very easy to follow for a complete beginner like me and my son loved it also, he's a Canon shooter and I have a Nikon d90, good tips on the lenses as well plus a few ideas for better composition, at 20 dollars it's the cheapest thing In my photography kit, I've watched it three times now..
