Writing this the day after we won The Ashes I can only hope that this little bag of goodies will ensure another generation of children desperate to play for England. A surprisingly generously filled pack of cricketing items made a successful gift for a small boy and his cousins to play together with. Attractive and relatively robust I can really recommend this well presented cricket starter set.

It's a great cricket bat set- seems good quality. However, don't be misled (as I was) by the description- it's definately too big for 4-5yr olds. A size 3 cricket bat is suitable for a child of 4'6"-4'9" tall, or about age 8yrs, not for age 3+! It's WAY too big and heavy for a 6 year old even. The leg pads fit me (I'm 5'1"), they go up to my 4yr old son's waist! Other than that it's a great little set but a not a good starter set for a smaller child. We'll be keeping it until my son's a bit older and bigger.

The only downside is that the pads are very slim fitting.
