Great for Fathers, Too 20 Oct. 2011
By J.W.K - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
While we were on holiday in the States, my wife picked up a copy of this massive book (nearly 800 pages!) and brought it home with us. Already an avid Buddhist literature reader and somewhat curious about the inner life of Buddhist mothers, I started reading it and found that I couldn't stop. Not only was it a delight to read, but chock full of hard-won, mindful wisdom that any parent would find useful - whether mother or father. My only complaint is that the book is so large it's a bit difficult to wield. I ended up cutting it in half and duct taping make-shift front and rear covers, just so that I could tote it around and avoid unnecessary muscle cramps.

Highly recommended.

Love this book! 21 Feb. 2014

This is by far one of the best books I have ever read!
I highly suggest it to anyone, buddhist or not, mother or father,
or anyone really. The lessons in this book aren't just about parenting
but about everyday things we all go through.
It is laid out for an easy read.
This book is not only helping me to be a better mother,
but a better spouse, and better person in general.

Constant reminder to be good to yourself. An essential tool to my everyday practice. I have given this book to so many mothers/friends... Even my hubby has expressed interest in reading it. Wonderful!

This is a monster-book, as it is three books in one. I am really enjoying it though and am really happy to have found this great resource during the early stages of motherhood.
