This is a brilliant book which helped me tremendously during my first pregnancy. My sister-in-law gave me her book on loan (the original version) when I was 3 months pregnant with my son.
I learnt so much about the baby growing inside of me as well as the changes to my body from this book. When I went in to labour, my husband had to pry it from my hands as I held on to it tightly trying to read what to expect during each contraction.
I have found it to be even more useful since the birth of my son and refer it all the time. It is full of helpful hints and words of wisdom.
When I had to return the book, I visited Amazon to purchase my own copy and was thrilled to see that an updated version had just been released the day before. I waited eagerly for it to be delivered and have found it to be even better than the original.
I would strongly recommend that all first time parents, as soon as you know you are expecting, go and purchase this book along with Dr. Spock's book. They will make your life with your newborn less stressful and more enjoyable!
