Don't buy this book if you want to know how to sew different curtain types or are looking for inspiration. I fails totally in both tasks. This book contains black and white sketches of curtains, etc. but NO INSTRUCTIONS as to how to make them. I felt like a complete fool when I open the book and thumbed through. There aren't even attractive photographs of real curtains, just boring old sketches and most of them are just copies of each other - London blind without fancy bow, same London blind with fancy bow, same London blind with fancy bow and a bit of piping... If there had been sewing instructions the book would have been good but without them there is no reason to buy it whatsoever.

I found the book really helpful. You can see all the basic types of curtains, valances, shades in it and also there are amazing ideas for window decoration. I love it!!!
