A friend and I have been following the program outlined by Brungardt for almost 3 months now and it's producing results. The photographic illustrations are nearly perfect, leaving little room for failure to comprehend exactly what is required to develop your abs. The current edition is definitely an improvement on the original edition, thanks to a more updated layout and the inclusion of some of the newly-popular abdominal rolling devices. If you are out to develop your abs, I have never seen a better book.

Fantastic range of exercises for all levels of fitness,

If you follow the advice and plans contained within this book, you will get strong, visible abs, guaranteed (unless they are hidden by a layer of fat). A huge range of exercises for all levels of fitness are contained within this well designed and high quality paperback The instructions for every exercise are well written and easy to understand. Pictures (although black and white) are clear and compliment the instructions as a useful visual guide to each exercise. It is worth noting that although this book focuses on the abs, it also contains good general advice on fitness and strength, as well as how to lead a healthy lifestyle and how to get the maximum benefit from each exercise by training the muscles as hard as possible. Specific advice is included on strengthening the lower back, which together with the abs creates the body's 'core' strength area. All in all, an essential fitness text.

I felt obliged to write a review because this book is well written. The exercises are well explained, there are for all levels and most of them do not require any equipment. In addition there is advice on diet, wellness as well as a basic program on strengthening. 5 out of 5.
