I have been playing a couple of dancing games on my ps2, using this model of a dance mat.
- sensitive to steps
- good aesthetics
- easy to identify the arrows and buttons
- easy to store away
- slips on wood and carpets (I was able to solve this by using a non-slip plastic, similar to those used in drawers, cut to size and placed below the dance mat, but it still slides a bit from place during gameplay, which makes you start stepping on the wrong places in fast-paced songs. Obviously, only a rigid mat might completely solve this.)
- the sensor area for each direction could be slightly larger to make stepping easier
Overall, I am very satisfied with the performance, and my wife and I have had lots of fun hours in front of the tv with this mat. I cannot yet discuss how robust it is, but I am hoping it will last a few hundreds of playing hours...
