More About the Author

Born 1953 in Shropshire UK Alaric was an "Army Brat" constantly on the move to new homes. After completing Grammar School in Nottinghamshire, Alaric started working for the British Civil Service on computer systems. Several years later he moved to London to work in the Shipping Industry. From there he progressed in Banking and Finance. Initially based in the UK he subsequently worked in many European countries, Scandinavia, the USA, South Africa and even in Russia. Much of that work involved security projects where large sums of money and valuables needed protection from theft.

In the course of his early career Alaric helped to lead teenage boys in a youth organisation. His hobbies include rock climbing, sailing, walking, photography and cookery.

He and his wife have raised a family. They have now left home. Alaric can be found skulking around Edinburgh and London when he is not travelling. The Adair's idea of a holiday is to keep planning to a minimum. They fly to a country, rent a car at the airport and then turn either left or right at the exit of the airport. Accommodation is found en-route. They return a couple of weeks later.

5.0 out of 5 stars company mole 23 Oct 2010
By tess
the second in the series of adam cranford books starts at a breathtaking pace as is the norm in all the books by this author. In this book he gets involved in the murky world of drugs and drug dealing as he tries to help a friend being tempted by dealers. The action never falters throught the 346 pages. this is a book to capture the imagination of young and old alike. a flawed hero is an attractive character who you will cheer on to the final page. those who like the Alex Rider books will equally enjoy this. I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and fast moving 15 Jan 2010
I prefer this book Company Mole to Teen Valour, the first book of the series. It is a great read with lots of detail like the first book. The hero Adam Cranford is a lot tougher in this book, but just as ingenious with his plots. The 14 y/o boy takes on a drug gang. Later in the book he realises the consequences to his family of the actions. It is good to see how the heroines from Book 1 come to his rescue. I'd rate the reading age to be 14 above for this book.
