The book′s organization allows it to be useful in a number of ways: as a straight reference work, as a reader on allied topics or as an anthology of significant philosophical issues. It is an important work valuable for students, general readers and seasoned specialists." Reference Reviews

This is an extremely useful series of articles that should be in every School/College library where Ethics is studied at Post-16 level. It covers all of the main areas of Applied Ethics and contains articles written by leading scholars. The articles are advanced and so not always suitable for all students. However, they will provide additional challenge for more able students who want to read around the topics that they are studying in lessons.

the best philosophers have to offer the public 30 Oct 2003
By Nathan Nobis - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This is a really excellent collection of articles on all sorts of really interesting topics in applied ethics. Anyone who thinks that academic philosophers aren't "practical" or aren't concerned with "real world" issues and problems should take a look at this book. It's just full of interesting and important stuff. All the entries I've read are exceedingly clear and well written and provide a great introduction to the topic. I hope it eventually comes out in paperback so it's easier to purchase!
