The Companion® 5 multimedia speaker system offers multichannel audio that seems to envelop you -- without the confusion of five speakers. Our three-piece computer sound system is engineered for 5.1-encoded games, films and music. It uses only two sleek desktop speakers and an Acoustimass® module that fits neatly under your desk. The simple set up can be carried out in only one USB connection to your computer.

All you need to set up the system is a single USB connection from your PC or laptop to the computer speaker system. Features

Specially designed speaker arrays come fully assembled on stands so you can enjoy more usable work space and the best performance. A convenient control pod accommodates a headphone jack, volume control, single-touch mute and a connection for a second sound device, like an MP3 player. A hide-away Acoustimass® module provides crisp, deep frequencies. This allows the desktop speakers to be tiny without sacrificing audio quality. Bose-own TrueSpace® surround digital processing circuitry creates room-filling sound from only two visible speakers. Specially developed for computer use, it provides a spectacular sound environment for DVDs, music and games. The system links to your computer via a single USB connection, so you won’t need any special sound card upgrades, software packages, complicated wiring or adapters. With the system’s digital 5.1 audio playback, your games, movies, music and other 5.1-encoded material will come to life, with much of the sound quality you'd expect from a five-speaker system. Monitor interference or damage to magnetic media is prevented through magnetically shielded satellite speakers. Natural performance can be enjoyed at almost all listening levels thanks to Bose-own integrated signal processing technology. Enjoy clear, undistorted music – even at top volume levels – thanks to Bose’s advanced compression circuitry. The low, middle and high frequencies are balanced using active electronic equalisation, for greater clarity and a life-like sound. Dual inputs allow you to plug in two sound devices at the same time – from your computer or another portable audio source.
